Standards - The Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare
Organizations certifies hospitals and has recently added Patient Safety
Standards to its accreditation criteria. JCAHO also requires "sentinel event"
reporting by hospitals, and has an on-line "annotated
sentinel event" bibliography. |
